ONTARIO FIRST NATIONS ORAL HEALTH SURVEY
Over the past several years, a number of surveys have been developed and implemented to address the gap in information regarding the oral health status of Canadians, as well as that of First Nations people. However, some of these surveys are relatively outdated and/or fail to capture the oral health of First Nations people living on-reserve in Ontario. The Ontario First Nations Oral Health Survey (OFNOHS) attempted to determine the oral health status of First Nations people living on-reserve in Ontario such that program managers and policy makers in government and among First Nations organizations can develop effective and relevant evidence-based policies and programs that address the oral health needs of First Nations people in this province.
