Ontario Health and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services is launching a Call for Proposals for one-time mental health & addictions funding for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Funding will support the creation of safe spaces for mental health and addictions programming, delivery of traditional healing programs, land-based programming, and appropriate health and safety expenses.
Please find attached the proposal form that includes instructions for filling out the document and eligibility criteria for minor capital projects. We encourage you to read through the materials to understand the eligibility criteria and key requirements for filling out the application.
This letter and application materials are being distributed widely across Ontario. Please feel free to distribute the attached application materials to Indigenous organizations and communities in your network. Please also note that an existing funding relationship is not required to apply and obtain funding for this initiative.
The closing date for the submission of Proposal Forms is December 19, 2022.
Applications received after this time will not be considered. If you have further questions about the proposal form and the process, please email the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services at ihws@ontario.ca.
To assist with filing your application, Ontario Health is providing two optional information sessions on Thursday, December 1 and Thursday, December 8 at 12 noon EST to walk through the application process, and evaluation criteria, and answer any questions. I encourage you to join one of these sessions. Meeting links and additional information are included in the email and proposal form.
