Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe’iyewigamig (WNHAC) is honoured and proud to share our TRADITIONAL FOOD GUIDE, see attached, developed in collaboration with traditional knowledge keepers, elders, community members, and the WNHAC team to reclaim wisdom about foods that support health and mino-bimaadiziwin.
Hiawatha L.I.F.E. Centre staff worked very hard to come up with some innovative and fun ways to continue to offer programming amid COVID-19 restrictions. Our social media has been a wonderful platform and has offered many fun challenges such as Diabetes quizzes to be eligible for healthy meal packages including ingredients and recipes.
This resource is the result of a partnership with community members and the WNHAC team. This resource highlights the connection between TRADITIONAL FOODS & HEALTH.
